SOCIAL
Health and Safety
A safe working environment not only reduces the risk of accidents and illness but also serves as a
foundation for minimizing business risks.
DAESANG has established a health and safety governance system and continues to manage it annually
with the goal of achieving zero major accidents.
To prevent serious accidents in advance, the company identifies and mitigates risks by eliminating hazards and
introducing a risk assessment procedure.

Health and Safety Management System
To improve the efficiency and consistency of SHE (Safety, Health,
and Environment) operations, DAESANG has replaced its previous management approach with an integrated system
that enables real-time data input and monitoring.
This system digitizes the legal requirements of safety and environmental management, enabling more structured
and rapid decision-making, and was introduced
to establish a proactive risk prevention and response framework.
The SHE-MS system comprises three areas—Safety, Health,
and Environment—and includes key management items in each category as follows:
-
Safety
company-wide accident records, risk assessments, safety work permits, safety inspection management
-
Health
chemical management, workplace inspections, special health checkups, follow-up for individuals with health issues
-
Environment
facility inspections, legal operation logs
Risk Management
Safety Design Review(SDR)
DAESANG conducts preliminary reviews of potential risks
and safety considerations related to construction and
equipment purchases. The company proactively identifies
and addresses risks and legal requirements across
categories such as safety and environment.
The SDR system is implemented at manufacturing plants,
logistics centers, and research institutes.
Operation of Communication Channels for Feedback from Partner Workers on Health and Safety
DAESANG operates multiple communication and inspection channels, such as the Occupational Health and Safety Committee, partner councils, joint health and safety inspections, and patrol inspections. These mechanisms are used to gather feedback from workers at partners and improve identified on-site hazards, including near-miss incidents.
